afraid? NO

Hello ladies and gents!
I decided to write this completely random blog today because of my obsession with YouTube tutorial videos. I will just sit for hours on end watching makeup/hair/nail tutorials. I absolutely love them! I'm totally addicted!
Another addiction of mine, is dying my hair, and if any of you have known me over the past...year, you know that I dye my hair constantly. I have been black, blonde/yellow (total accident), brown with highlights, brown without highlights, and my ever favorite RED. Right now I am at a very dark brown color, but I so desperately want to be a bleach blonde! I have watched days and days worth of YouTube videos about bleaching your hair at home, and no two videos match up on what they say. As in, one video will give you one product to use, and they will have dark hair, and over a span of weeks they will slowly get it to blonde. Another video might have a light brown hair, use a completely different set of products and never get the achieved color. There are really so many ways that you can try to go blonde. The outcome, however, never seems promised. I really don't want to walk around looking like a banana again...I had that happen once. It ain't a pretty sight ya'll.
So, I decided that I would really like to just bite the bullet and go to a salon and get it bleached by a so called "professional."
I will just take a short moment to rant and tell you all how much I absolutely LOATHE going to a salon to get my hair done. Beauty schools in Texas only teach you one hairstyle; an A-line bob with stringy highlights. I CANNOT STAND IT!
I can't tell you how many times I have gone into a salon, asked for one style, and come out with something I did not ask for at all, just because that's all the hair dresser was taught at school. Now, I am not saying this about all hair stylists, of course. There are some (and by some I mean one) that I've found that I really like, and they are genuinely really good at what they do. I would pay them any amount to dye/cut/style my hair.
Anyway, the point of this whole charade is, that I have realized how completely different I am about my hair opinions than other girls in general. For example, at least 75% of the YouTube videos I watched about becoming a beautiful blonde were videos of people just straight up saying "If you aren't a natural blonde, don't bleach your hair!" and "It's super bad for your hair!" Even some people left comments about how they went blonde and their hair is falling out in huge clumps. (I feel super sorry for those girls) But honestly, I've never had that problem before, and even if I did, I wouldn't care at all. To me, hair is hair. It falls out, it gets cut off into terrible styles, it gets fried off by the hair straightener, and magically...it always grows back.
WHOA! HAIR GROWS BACK?
yes ladies, your hair in fact does grow back. So, today I will be going to the local salon to get my hair fried off, and I am not nervous at all! I might come back looking like a ginger for a few weeks, but hey, at least that's another color I can add to my book.
I think that everyone should experiment with dying and styling their hair differently more often, it's one of those crazy perks of being a female. We have the ability to completely change our appearance from day to day just by doing something a little different with our hair! I love that about myself!
I'd love to hear you guy's crazy dye stories. Have you ever dyed your hair so much that it just all ran from your head?
I hope you all are having wonderful days!
Stay Excellent!
